JD Beauty and Goody to Merge

JD Beauty, the parent company of WetBrush, Bio Ionic and Ouidad, announced this week that it will merge with Goody Products, an iconic manufacturer of hairstyling tools and accessories.

ACON Investments, the private equity firm that purchased Goody from Newell Brands in August 2018, has signed a definitive agreement to buy a controlling interest in JD Beauty from Topspin Partners, a consumer-focused private equity firm.

WetBrush Launches Holiday Campaign on Instagram

With the purpose of giving back this holiday season, WetBrush launches the #WetBrushGivesBack campaign throughout this week to encourage the involvement of our community. Four unique nonprofit organizations (including the Beauty Bus Foundation) that have positive impacts on women’s lives will be featured on the @Wetbrush Instagram account, along with a donation of $1,000 to each from WetBrush.

JD Beauty Expands With Bio Ionic Acquisition

JD Beauty Group, the parent company of WetBrush, has announced its acquisition of Bio Ionic professional electrical beauty appliances. Focused on building a well-rounded product offering of hair brushes, electrical appliances and liquids, the acquisition rounds out JD Beauty’s existing brands. Bio Ionic will continue as a leading, global professional-only brand under JD Beauty.
