Waxelene—marketed as "the eco-friendly alternative to petroleum jelly"—has announced that it's now being sold in Bed Bath & Beyond stores, bringing the number of retail locations carrying the product to more than 800 across all 50 states and Canada.
“It’s an organic product, which really appeals to those who are health- or eco-conscious," explains Todd Cooper, Waxelene CEO. "It’s a wonderful baby product, so moms have been really supportive. And it's an amazing, multifunctional beauty and skincare product, which has created a tremendous buzz for Waxelene.”
Waxelene's multiple beauty and skincare functions are described in the "Uses" section of the supplier's website. Check out the eight main ways in the downloadable "Beauty Skin Care Guide" PDF. It's one of four skincare PDFs there.
Lina Hanson, an eco-makeup artist, says, “I recently tried this petroleum jelly alternative, and now I can’t stop using it. I love it! I use it to remove makeup and to moisturize my lips. I love the smell of it, and the best part of it all—it’s completely natural with beneficial ingredients [such as] organic [soy] oil, beeswax and [organic] rosemary oil.”
Christy Coleman, a professional makeup artist, adds, "Waxelene has become a must in my kit. Unfortunately, every hairdresser and model that I work with will often try to walk away with it. So now I make sure to carry two jars of it with me at all times.”
Waxelene’s all-natural ingredients also include vitamin E oil. They're combined using a patent-pending aeration formula, and the product is made in the United States.
