Walgreens Debuts L.A. Flagship Store Featuring LOOK Boutique Beauty Department

The LOOK Boutique offers prestige and niche cosmetic, skincare and haircare brands not typically found in drugstores. It includes the popular British skincare brand No7—created by international health and beauty retailer Boots, a division of Alliance Boots, the multinational pharmacy-led health and beauty group. The brand is known for its antiaging beauty serum—and is available in a Walgreens store for the first time.

No7’s availability at the West Coast flagship store follows a partnership established in June between Walgreens and Alliance Boots designed to create the first global pharmacy-led, health and well-being enterprise.

The LOOK Boutique also features specially trained beauty advisers, including a No7 beauty adviser.

Expert shaping and grooming services are also available at its Eyebrow Bar.

The Upmarket Café features a barista preparing fresh-brewed coffee offerings.

The juice and smoothie bar has fresh fruits and vegetables included in 24 recipes as well as self-serve yogurt (eight flavors) with a toppings bar.

Fresh-food options include hand-rolled sushi and sashimi, sandwiches and salads prepared daily.

The fine-wine selection boasts more than 700 varieties that can be paired with the store’s artisan and specialty meats, cheeses, chocolates and other foods. A Beverage Wizard kiosk is available to provide food and beverage pairing recommendations.

The Coca-Cola Freestyle machine dispenses 130 varieties of fountain drinks.

“I’m very proud that Walgreens has chosen Los Angeles for its milestone 8,000th store, and is providing Hollywood residents with more access to pharmacy, health and wellness services,” stated Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa before the opening. “This flagship location brings not only a unique retail offering to this community, but additional jobs and economic investment that help build a vibrant neighborhood.”

The new location offers a state-of-the-art pharmacy, including consultation rooms, Express Rx kiosks and assistance with navigating health and wellness products, services and resources.

During the drugstore giant’s ribbon-cutting ceremony, it acknowledged World AIDS Day and the company’s involvement in treating and preventing HIV/AIDS by presenting a $10,000 donation to Charles Drew University in recognition of its HIV-related programming and outreach.

The store is open 24 hours every day.
