Wahl Fade It Forward Program Supports Students By Providing Scholarships

In efforts to give back to the community, Wahl education and artistic team member Garland “G-Whiz” Fox and others created the Wahl Fade It Forward Program. The four-week mentorship program is designed to help at-risk youth by giving them a head start on the material covered at His & Hers Barber School. A few months into the program, students Mikayla Harper, Andre Whittington, Quientin Crump, and Sebastian Moore received a full scholarship to His & Hers Barber School, along with a mentor and continued support of UCAN, a Chicago social service organization.

Wahl Education and Artistic Team Welcomes Three New Members

The Wahl Education and Artistic Team (WEAT) announced, last week, the selection of three new members: John Carmona, Antonino Lombardi and Corina Reyes.

WEAT is comprised of 17 highly trained and technologically advanced artists who can educate and train at any skill level. Their goal is to provide students and licensed hair professionals with clipper education. They believe that education is closely tied to success.

Executive Vice President Jim Wahl Retiring from Wahl Clipper Corporation

It was recently announced that Jim Wahl, executive vice president of Wahl Clipper Corporation, retired early last month after leading the family business for 46 years. The decision to retire comes shortly before the company's 100-year anniversary—and after considerable deliberation, according to son, Lance Wahl, the company's global vice president of professional products. Family, employees and stockholders were present for an official and heartfelt sendoff in early July at Wahl's Sterling, Illinois factory.
