Cosmoprof North America is set to take place July 13-15 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

CPNA won Trade Show Executive's 2013 Marketing Genius Award as well as a Gold 100 Award plaque last September. Also, Trade Show News Network ranked Cosmoprof North America No. 103 in its list of the 2013 Top 250 Trade Shows in the United States released this past April. This year’s trade show along with PBA Beauty Week July 12-15 could be the best ever for both beauty-industry events. CPNA is organized by North American Beauty Events, a joint-venture company between the BolognaFiere Group and the Professional Beauty Association.


This year the show is bringing back Discover Beauty—a special product area at CPNA that matches leading beauty retailers with emerging beauty brands—for the eighth time. Companies from all over the world must be approved to participate, ensuring an exclusive array of unique, cutting-edge brands that are often the “next big thing.” For these lines, show organizers arrange prescheduled sales meetings and events with important retailers; however, the area is open to all attendees throughout the show.

Discover Beauty brands are automatically eligible for the 2014 Discover Beauty Award, which is given to one brand. It recognizes creativity in concept, packaging and overall ability to succeed. The winner is selected by industry leaders, beauty editors and participating retailers, and will be announced during a private reception July 13.

The widely successful SPOTLIGHTS program in Discover Beauty at CPNA—which was presented for the second time last year with another overwhelming response and great feedback from buyers—will be back this year, highlighting the best in small niche beauty brands. It’s dedicated to lines that are a prime fit for high-end beauty retailers.

If you haven’t visited SPOTLIGHTS in its first two years, it uses a department store-like presentation with a clean, minimal setting within the central open lounge in the Discover Beauty section inside Pavilion A. It’s open to all attendees throughout the show.

This year CPNA is also bringing back the Emerging Beauty program, which allows manufacturers that have never been a part of the show to experience the business opportunities it presents. The initial investment for the Emerging Beauty program is lower then other programs offered at CPNA, and only newcomers may participate. There are two distinct sections within Emerging Beauty. The Pavilion A one is dedicated to finished products for retail distribution. The Pavilion D one is dedicated to professional use for the salon industry.
