Beautycounter continues to strategically build a strong leadership team. Both with global experience, Ana Badell joins as the new chief operating officer and Patty Wu joins as the new chief commercial officer.
Prior to joining the Beautycounter team, Badell led many operational functions, most recently as vice president of store operations and flow for Starbucks. While working there, she also held other global leadership positions. Earlier in her career, Ana served in operations at Walmart and held leadership roles at the Hess Corporation and at BP.
With her global experience leading cross-functional, multicultural teams, Badell is expected to promote long-term growth for the company while still enhancing the customer’s experience. At Beautycounter, Badell will oversee operations, IT, corporate strategy and the company’s social mission.
Prior to joining Beautycounter, Wu served as general manager of the baby division at The Honest Company, as well as chief commercial officer. Prior to that, she held several leaderships roles at Mattel, and senior positions at Walmart and The Clorox Company.
A Harvard Business School graduate, Wu will lead Beautycounter's commercial channels, including retail, direct to consumer, customer support, digital product and performance marketing.
"We are thrilled to have Patty and Ana join our team to help accelerate the growth and mission of our company. Both women will be invaluable partners to me as we drive our strategic initiatives to the next level,” said Beautycounter CEO, Gregg Renfrew.
