Madison Reed Secures $51 Million in Series D Financing

Prestige hair color brand Madison Reed announced a growth capital raise of $51 million led by existing investors: Norwest Venture Partners and True Partners, with participation from Comcast Ventures. One new investor, Meaningful Partners, also joined the funding.

Popular at-home hair color brand Madison Reed has put the capability of self-reinvention into the fingertips of their consumers through the launch of the new “Try On” tool found on their website, With the use of smartphones - or any device with a camera - visitors can virtually try on over 40 Madison Reed hair colors to envision color changes upon themselves while eliminating fear of end results. The tool is designed with a split screen allowing users to switch between their current hair color and the new, virtual shades they select.

On September 18, Allure honored Madison Reed’s Light Works At-Home Balayage Hightlighting Kit with the publication’s Best of Beauty Breakthrough Award.

Prior to working for Madison Reed, Stanko served as master colorist and brand ambassador for Redken 5th Avenue NYC. For more than 21 years, Stanko played an important role in Redken’s global product launches, which included educating and inspiring hair color professionals around the world.
