Show officials are once again offering Beauty Store Business readers a special code (“OTC13BSB”) to receive a free three-day show pass—a $115 value. Use it when registering at the show’s website or by calling 866.229.2386 (301.694.5243 outside the United States) and at the on-site registration area.
Also, the show is now publicizing online its current lineup of conference and special events. (Another conference, which BSB is involved with, will be posted there soon.) With the exception of the City of Hope salon-industry reception, dinner and program for Spirit of Life Award honoree Reuben Carranza (North American CEO of Wella, the Salon Professional Division of P&G), when there are fees there are discounts for signing up by June 14 or before. Similar to 2012 and the three years before, there is another special show-related bonus in 2013 for BSB readers and others who qualify: the Independent Beauty Retailer/OTC Program, which hasn’t changed.
While the program also offers a complimentary three-day show pass, more importantly it addresses the issue of limited resources for show participation by helping to partially offset the cost of travel: a $150 travel reimbursement in the form of a gift card. Beauty retailers will receive the gift card at the end of the show upon presentation of a completed reimbursement form verifying that they’ve completed on-site business-to-business meetings with five different companies exhibiting on the Cosmoprof North America 2013 trade show floor. These forms can be redeemed at the North American Beauty Events show office, which is near the registration area and the press office. (North American Beauty Events—a joint venture between BolognaFiere [Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna in Italy and Cosmoprof Asia in Hong Kong] and the Professional Beauty Association—is the organizer of Cosmoprof North America.)
