Cosmoprof Asia 2017 Experiences Record Breaking Numbers

Cosmoprof Asia 2017 experienced record-breaking numbers in November. The show’s marked growth confirms the success of the “one fair, two venues” format—and reinforces the show’s role as the most relevant networking event for the beauty industry in the Asia-Pacific region. Cosmoprof launched “Cosmopack Asia”, held at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), November 14-17, alongside Cosmoprof Asia in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), November 15-17. Cosmopack Asia hosted companies representing the entire cosmetics supply chain: raw materials and ingredients, contract manufacturing and private label, machinery, primary and secondary packaging. Together the events gather buyers, distributers, suppliers, and retailers from all over the world.

The two fairs collectively had 83,793 beauty professionals in attendance from 135 different countries and regions, showing an increase of 9 percent from the previous year. There were also 2,877 companies exhibited this year, representing 54 countries and regions, with an increase of 7 percent when compared to last year. The top country visits included Japan with 24 percent, Australia with 22 percent, China with 20 percent, Singapore’s 15 percent, Indonesia’s 14 percent, Korea’s 14 percent, and USA and Taiwan following with 11 percent. Korea was also the Country of Honor for 2017, presenting the leading cosmetic trends and novelties of the industry, also known worldwide as “K-Beauty”.

The 23rd edition of Cosmoprof Asia will take place from November 13-15, 2018 with Cosmopack Asia at the AsiaWorld-Expo November 14-16, 2018 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
