NY NOW Summer Market Kicks Off This Weekend in New York City

The summer installment of NY NOW the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift starts this weekend. The show, which features a comprehensive personal care section, runs August 12-15, 2018 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

The Jacob K. Javits Center will transform into a decorating, lifestyle and gifting wonderland, filled with incredible products when NY NOW takes over. It is a top destination for buyers, designers, shop owners and more to source what consumers will demand this season, into 2019 and beyond.

Flora•py Announces Distribution Agreement With Spilo Worldwide

Flora•py—a new line of facial-sheet masks that provides hydration with the restorative powers of flowers and essential oils—announced Feb. 29 that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Spilo Worldwide.

Spilo Worldwide will focus on expanding the distribution of the line to beauty stores, beauty redistributors and beauty professionals.

Sprayco Consumer Products Is Now Repped by Coleman/Harrison and BTB Sales & Marketing

The supplier is now partnering with two new manufacturers' rep firms: Coleman/Harrison: Beauty Brand Agents (800.767.1109) in the Northeast and Midwest; and BTB Sales & Marketing (800.538.9008, 516.781.6901) in the Southeast, Southwest and West as well as Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

Beauty Collection to Open a Boutique in Marina del Rey, California

Beauty Collection's sixth brick-and-mortar site in Southern California will be in Marina del Rey. The grand opening has been set for May 14.

It will be a 2,100-square-foot boutique at 4722 Admiralty Way (90292). The same services (facials, massages, waxing bar, makeovers, etc.) and key beauty brands (with just a very few exceptions) will be offered as the regional salon/spa-store chain's other sites in Manhattan Beach, Corona del Mar/Newport Beach, Malibu, West Hollywood and Calabasas.

CPNA 2016 to Debut DISCOVER Green Program

Cosmoprof North America is launching DISCOVER Green, a special area on the show floor this year for companies dedicated to green, eco-friendly, clean, organic and/or natural beauty products.

CPNA officials say that the decision to include a new “green” section comes on the heels of increased consumer awareness about the environmental impact and ingredient safety from the products—including in beauty and wellness—that they purchase.
