Mixologiste is the global beauty-trend prediction for 2014, according to Mintel Beauty & Personal Care. What does it involve, you ask? It’s part of the ongoing blurred lines between beauty technology, involving overlaps between skin care, hair care and color cosmetics; and combining technology and marketing from more than one category, leading to new combinations with new products, packaging, marketing and merchandise.
Two well-respected beauty-industry veterans are slated to speak at J. White & Associates' Fourth Annual Manufacturers’ Summit, an invitation-only event Jan. 15 at the ARIA in Las Vegas: Kelly Huether, president of Life of Riley, and Daniela Ciocan, director of marketing for SoGeCos Americas.
Cosmoprof Asia 2013 held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Nov. 13-15 drew 60,985 visitors, up 10% over 2012.
The show's year-to-year growth in international visitors by country included India (74%), Germany (27%), Spain (23%), Malaysia (21%), Italy (19%), Vietnam (12%) and the United States (10%). The number of visitors from Israel and the United Arab Emirates also registered double-digit growth.
In addition, the number of exhibitors jumped 10% over 2012, and the total exhibition area saw a 3% increase over the year before.
