DeveloPlus Moves Into State-Of-The Art Facility in SoCal

DeveloPlus—which offers its Satin hair color and other products for beauty stores and salons, as well as other haircolor and haircolor-related brands, and haircolor private-labeling—is now in a brand-new, state-of-the-art, customized facility it owns in Corona, California, that consolidates all of its previous local facilities.

The new, two-floor facility covers 155,000 square feet, Beauty Store Business learned during a preview tour April 15 before an official grand opening likely at the end of May. It includes a lab, a photo studio, production areas, filling areas and a huge warehouse, along with a modern distribution center and beautiful headquarters office space.

“Sales of Satin products have doubled in the past several years and are on the edge of tripling,” said Dave Agrey, president and owner of DeveloPlus. “We had to do something to continue servicing our accounts in the best way possible.” Currently, Satin is offered in 72 shades. Other DeveloPlus lines include Splat, Color Oops, No Gray Quick Fix, Xora and Make It.

The new facility will mean better order processing and among the most-reliable inventory controls in the industry, said Bernie Ellenson, sales and marketing consultant for DeveloPlus and haircolor-business veteran.

Earlier this year DeveloPlus appointed Louis & Associates (310.392.7422) as its manufacturers rep firm in the West. The company's other manufacturers rep firms are BTB Sales & Marketing (800.538.9008) in the Northeast, the Southeast and the Southwest, M&M Sales (630.878.4782) in the Midwest and Intbeudist (787.728.0874) in Puerto Rico.

Recently, DeveloPlus has stepped up its consumer advertising (including in Allure and in Marie Claire) and trade advertising (Beauty Store Business).
