Pharmaca to Debut New Natural Beauty Bar Initiative in Los Angeles
Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy will be celebrating the grand opening of its very first Natural Beauty Bar July 27-29 at its Pacific Palisades location in Los Angeles.
The 1,000-square-foot area is an expansion of the integrative-pharmacy chain’s beauty offerings, featuring brands such as jane iredale, Dr. Hauschka, Evanhealy and Suki. It also includes spa services through The Brow Bar, which offers waxing and threading services, and has two chairs; and the Makeup Area, which provides makeup and lash applications as well as makeovers, and has four chairs. Both appointments and walk-ins are welcome for services.
At any time customers can stop in for free esthetician consultations on skin care and color matching with the retailer's all-natural cosmetic brands; a complimentary mini makeover at the Natural Beauty Bar for customers who spend $100 on cosmetics or facial care; and a free brow-shaping service after every five brow-shaping service purchases (waxing or threading) for members of Pharmaca's Feel Better Rewards loyalty program.
“We’re thrilled to be extending our hands-on practitioner model from skincare and makeup expertise to these beauty services,” says Tiana Ukleja, Pharmaca’s health and beauty category manager. She adds that the Natural Beauty Bar was conceived in response to an increasing demand from customers for waxing and cosmetic services that utilize the best in salon-quality skin care and cosmetics. “These are services that women used to have to go elsewhere for. We hope that they’ll take advantage of being able to pick up their favorite beauty products and get a brow wax all in one spot.”
Pharmaca’s Natural Beauty Bar grand-opening weekend festivities will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Beauty services will be available throughout the weekend along with free gifts with purchase. On the Friday, a representative from SpaRitual Nail Lacquers will offer free nail-polish changes using the brand’s latest shades from its Water Collection and other lines.
The integrative-pharmacy chain launched in Boulder, Colorado, in June 2000. It offers traditional prescription-filling services alongside its natural and complementary health solutions. The company owns 24 pharmacies in California, Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington.
