02.02.10 P&G, PFSweb Launch eStore
As ecommerce sees continued growth even during the down economy, more companies, including global giants, are pulling out all the stops to ensure that their products are reaching the greatest possible audience. Recently, Procter & Gamble Co. in collaboration with ecommerce services provider PFSweb, began piloting an online store, named the eStore, which will reach consumers exclusively with P&G beauty and grooming, health and well-being, and household-care products.
Its trial operation, which is owned and operated by PFSweb and serves to test online sales, marketing and other online-retailing innovations, is expected to be followed by the actual launch of the store in the spring.
"We are very excited about the eStore's potential to reach more consumers and create new online experiences and innovations that build our brands online," said Kirk Perry, P&G's vice president of North America. "Ultimately, our goal in working with an experienced ecommerce business like PFSweb is to test concepts and programs that can be reapplied with all of our online retail partners in ways that exponentially grow consumer affinity for our brands and mutually increase sales for P&G and our retailer partners."
