New Concepts Hair Goods and TressAllure have merged and together now reside under the leadership of Okyo Sthair, president. The two companies have worked together for more than 60 years, providing high quality fashion wigs, educating customers in the latest hair replacement and hair extension techniques, and designing, manufacturing and distributing a complete line of alternative hair products.
“This merger has been undertaken to provide customers with one of the strongest portfolios in the hair goods industry,” said a company representative. “Our team will be working together to introduce new and exciting opportunities into the hair industry.”
New Concepts Hair Goods was founded by Sthair in 1989 and joined the beauty goods and services company Aderans Group in 1998. It is a leading authority in the nonsurgical hair replacement and hair extension industry.
TressAllure was founded in 1963 under the name General Wig Manufacturers. It joined the Aderans Group in 1998 and has provided women with fashionable hair alternatives for more than 46 years, becoming a leading supplier of alternative hair in the United States. Its products are distributed to wig salons, mass retailers, chain drugstores and independent and chain beauty stores with products also available in more than 48 countries.
