Lynelle Lynch: A Star in Beauty Education
Many times what starts out as a life challenge can turn into a life-changing event that reaches far beyond our dreams. One such challenge faced Lynelle Lynch (pictured) seven years ago when the manager of San Diego area-based Bellus Academy for more than 30 years passed away.
Lynch took over the post of president and owner of the academy and hasn’t looked back since. Bellus Academy has three locations in Southern California and one in Manhattan, Kansas. Her goal: to offer advanced education unprecedented in beauty-school education and career development.
Today, the academy’s curriculum features cosmetology, advanced cosmetology, makeup artistry, spa nail technician training, massage therapy, a holistic health practitioner course, esthetics, master esthetics and a “Bellus Best in Business” course.
Additionally, Lynch is the founding board president of Beauty Changes Lives, a nonprofit organization with a mission to elevate the perceptions of careers in beauty and wellness through the gift of educational scholarships.
Industry giant Procter & Gamble has donated more than $1 million dollars to her efforts and has just announced a $1.5 million scholarship grant to Beauty Changes Lives.
The moral of the story? You never know what life will throw at you, so move forward and grab the opportunities that may arise from adversity to see where they’ll take you.
Happy holidays from the staff at Beauty Store Business.
