Cosmoprof North America, held July 13-15 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, saw the largest number of exhibitors—992 companies—ever. The annual trade show was created in 2002.

Also, this year the total number of international exhibiting companies and countries represented at Cosmoprof North America was higher than ever. There were 314 international exhibitors representing a total of 38 countries—a 7% increase.

Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, which took place at the Bologna Fairgrounds in Bologna, Italy, March 8-11 closed its 2013 show with record-breaking figures: 193,842 visitors for a 14% increase with 48,823 visitors from outside of Italy for a 22% increase.

The number of exhibitors this year—2,390—was also up from 2,320 in 2012.

That figure included about 1,500 (63%) from outside of Italy as well as prominent new country pavilions from India and Colombia.

Are you heading to Hong Kong for Cosmoprof Asia 2012? More than 48,500 attendees and 1,800-plus exhibitors are expected to gather for the 17th edition of the trade show Nov. 14-16 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, say show officials.

And the show floor exhibit space will increase by 9% over 2011 with an extension into Grand Hall to accommodate the increasing number of exhibitors catering to the beauty-salon sector, they add.

Cosmoprof North America 2012 starts Sunday at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Convention Center in Las Vegas. When the clock strikes 10 that morning opening up the show floor for business, it will also mark the 10th anniversary of CPNA.
