Essential Salon Products Sells 12 Professional-Only Stores to Beauty Systems Group and its Direct Sales Division to Kao USA

Sally Beauty Holdings announced on May 31 the purchase of certain assets of Essential Salon Products by its professional products-distribution subsidiary Beauty Systems Group.

And Kao USA, subsidiary of Kao Corp., has announced separately that it acquired the direct sales division of Essential Salon Products—which sells exclusive Goldwell and KMS California salon products in the New England area–effective May 31.

At Beauty Systems Group, Michael F. Heines has been promoted to group vice president for full service. Heines is responsible for all full-service operations, including BSG customer service, inside sales and ecommerce-support operations.

He reports to BSG president John Golliher.

“We are pleased to announce Michael’s well-deserved promotion for our BSG team,” says Golliher. “His over 22 years of experience in the professional-beauty-supply business has given him in-depth leadership experience that will serve our team well.”
