American International Industries' China Glaze and Ardell brands are partnering with Paramount Pictures to offer exclusive collections of nail polishes and eyelashes inspired by the upcoming film "Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away" in theaters Dec. 21. In the film, filmmaker James Cameron and writer/director Andrew Adamson invite people on an exciting 3-D adventure.

The finalists for the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors’ seventh annual CITY (Cosmetic Innovator of The Year) Awards were announced last week.

Unlike the Oscars most years, there isn’t a clear favorite for one CITY nominee to win really big with something—such as five of the prestigious awards.

Nevertheless, please get your ballots out, ladies and gents ...

Here’s who could be winning CITYs—usually, one per category—during the dinner ceremony June 20 at the Manhattan Penthouse in New York City along with my picks (not that I have a say in any of this).

A.I.I. Grows Nail Category With Nail Tek Acquisition

Manufacturer and worldwide beauty-products distributor American International Industries has acquired Nail Tek (Prima Technologies).
